Musicians from Ukraine, France and England come together for a fundraising classical music concert for Ukraine. 

The program includes works of prominent European and Ukrainian composers from different eras. The compositions will be performed both in solo and in chamber ensembles.

All money raised from ticket sales and donations will provide:

  • Prosthetics & Orthofix systems for Ukrainian civilians, injured as a result of the war

  • Ex-NHS ambulance, loaded with medical supplies and shipped to a hospital in Ukraine.

The Artists

The Wessex

The Wessex is a Swindon, Wiltshire-based men’s amateur choir. It was founded in September 2001, and currently has around 50 members.

Over the last 20 years, The Wessex has built a reputation for its professionalism and entertaining repertoire, and is in great demand for a variety of concerts and other singing engagements. Thomas Graff – Musical Director, was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music with distinction in 2019, and is active in music teaching, instrumental and choral accompanying, and performing chamber music as well as solo repertoire. 


Denis Gravina

Denis was born in France,1992. He started his study in Conservatory of Municipal of Bar Le Duc at the age of thirteen where he had a chance to study with Thierry Colas. Next year, he started to study at National Concervatory of Nancy where he pursued his academic studies. He had a chance to work with Anca Teculescu, Axel Pierrard and Bernard Lerouge. Denis Gravina has participated to many masterclasses such as Sophie Agnel on improvisation in contemporary music. Following years he participated to a masterclass which took place in festival “Italia Di Terni” in Italy with Natasa Sarcevic. Denis Gravina is currently studying in University of West London Mmus in music performance with Jeremy Davies where he also had his Bmus music performance with Wilfrid Murray.


Vira Symchych

Vera  was born in Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine). After finishing the Music College named after D. Sichynsky, she entered P. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine named where she studied with professor Bohodar Kotorovych and Taras Yaropud. In 2013-2014 she continued her studies at the Ecole Normale Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, where her mentors were Genevieve Martigny and Antoine Goulard. She performs as a solo artist and as a duo member in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Austria and United States. 


Alisa Zaika

Alisa is a Ukrainian composer and pianist. She is currently an undergraduate student at the Royal College of Music (London, UK), studying composition with professor Jonathan Cole as well as piano performance (prof. Andrew Zolinsky) and conducting. Alisa has an extensive portfolio as a composer and a lot of experience as a pianist such as solo recitals, competitions, performing in chamber

ensembles and with an orchestra.

Before coming to the UK, Alisa received musical education at the Kyiv Secondary Specialized Music School after M. V. Lysenko in Ukraine (piano – prof. Iryna Barinova, composition – prof. Alla Zagaykevych) and additionally, had a year of learning experience in Vienna, Austria (piano – prof. Stanislav Tikhonov, composition – prof. Urszula Sharif).

Her work as a composer includes a wide range of activities: taking part in various composition projects at the Royal College of Music (including experimental ones like mixed media performances) writing for a large ensemble as a masterclass participant (Ukho Ensemble Kyiv, conductor - Luigi Gaggero), working with performers and performing her own piano music. In Kyiv she has received composition masterclasses with professors Luis Naon and Stefano Gervasoni (Paris Conservatoire).


Stefan Bulyha

Stefan was born and grew up in Rivne, Ukraine. After graduating from high school he entered the college Glieré Academy of Music in Kyiv, where he studied for 4 years and studied with the wonderful teacher Roman Vovk. During his studies at the college he participated in more than 15 competitions, where he became a winner or laureate.

In December 2020, Stefan successfully auditioned for the Royal Academy of Music and received a double scholarship for study with his current teacher Chris Richards who is principal clarinet of London Symphony Orchestra.

Currently Stefan is a member of such orchestras - YsOU / Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and Tsinandali Festival Youth Orchestra and former member of Moldavian Youth Orchestra and supported by Talent Unlimited foundation. He performed on the stage with famous conductors such as: Oksana Lyniv, Charles Dutoit, Vasiliy Petrenko, Derrick Inouye, Claudio Vandelli, Vitaliy Protasov.

In 2022 successfully performed the UK premier of Vitaliy Hubarenko “Aria” for clarinet and string orchestra in Royal Festival Hall with the London Contemporary Orchestra. Also, Stefan became a scholarship holder of Hattori Foundation and Drake Calleja trust.
